Discerning Your Career and Calling
Career choices matter, but your identity and worth are rooted in Christ rather than a title or achievement.
God's calling is larger than a job and includes the kind of person you become wherever you serve. Career discernment can hold together gifts, responsibilities, opportunities, counsel, and the needs of others without expecting a single perfect sign.
1. Get specific about what is happening.
Write the answer in plain language. Then decide what belongs to today and what can be released for now.
2. Separate responsibility from control.
Write the answer in plain language. Then decide what belongs to today and what can be released for now.
3. Read one passage deeply.
Start with Psalm 90:17 and read the surrounding context.
4. Choose the next faithful action.
List your gifts, current responsibilities, available opportunities, and trusted counsel, then pray over it before choosing one next step.
5. Revisit instead of rehearsing.
Write the answer in plain language. Then decide what belongs to today and what can be released for now.
