AskJesus is built around personal questions, prayer, Scripture, and reflection. We treat that experience with care.
AskJesus is designed to provide a private, faith-centered experience. This policy explains what information is processed, why it is used, and the services that help operate AskJesus.
Information you provide
If you create an account, AskJesus processes your email address, first name, and account identifier. Depending on the features you use, AskJesus may also process questions, prayers, reflections, bookmarks, reading-plan progress, Daily history, notification preferences, and Community questions or interactions you intentionally submit.
Sensitive content
Because AskJesus is a Christian app, information you choose to enter may reveal religious beliefs or other sensitive personal information. You control what you choose to enter. Private questions and saved faith content are used to provide the AskJesus experience and are not sold or used for third-party advertising.
Personalized responses and your choices
AskJesus uses third-party AI services to provide personalized Bible-centered responses, support selected features, and review Community submissions for safety. Before sending content you enter to these services, AskJesus asks for your explicit permission.
You can decline and continue using features that do not require this processing. You can also withdraw permission in Preferences. If you withdraw permission, AskJesus will ask again before sending content for a future request.
Service providers
AskJesus uses third-party service providers for account sign-in, data storage and synchronization, application hosting, push notifications, and account or support emails. These providers process information as part of delivering those services.
When you use external music or podcast links or embedded content, those services may process information under their own privacy policies.
Community
Community questions are designed to be displayed anonymously. AskJesus does not display your name or email with a Community post. A non-public identifier is used so users can block an abusive source and so AskJesus can enforce safety rules. Community submissions are filtered before publication and may be reported, hidden, removed, or held for review. Do not include contact information, links, or information that identifies you or another person in a Community question.
Notifications and device information
If you enable notifications, AskJesus processes a device push token, notification preferences, and time-zone information needed to deliver the reminders you selected. You can turn notifications off in AskJesus Preferences or iOS Settings.
How information is used
Information is used to provide and secure accounts, sync saved content, generate responses you request, remember preferences, operate Community safety, deliver enabled notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.
Retention
Account and saved app content is generally kept while your account remains active or until you delete the content or account. Operational security and abuse records may be retained for a limited period when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce the Terms. Service providers may maintain limited backups or logs under their own retention practices.
Account deletion
You can initiate permanent account deletion inside AskJesus under Account. Deletion removes the AskJesus account and associated app data from the active service. If you have an Apple subscription, deleting your AskJesus account does not automatically cancel billing; manage the subscription through Apple.
Website analytics
The public AskJesus website uses Google Analytics to measure visits, traffic sources, page engagement, and clicks on App Store links. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes technical information such as browser and device details and approximate location. This website integration does not send private app questions, prayers, saved reflections, names, or email addresses to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled for this integration.
Tracking and advertising
AskJesus does not sell personal information and does not use private questions for third-party advertising. AskJesus does not use the Apple advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Children
AskJesus is not directed to children under 13 and is not offered in the App Store Kids Category.
