Bible Verses for Starting Over
Five Bible passages for starting over with context questions, reflection, and a practical next step.
Bring what is real.
Open the app with the question, prayer, or part of life you are carrying. AskJesus helps you move into Scripture, reflection, prayer, and a faithful next step.
Read. Reflect. Pray. Take the next faithful step.
Use Scripture as more than a quote.
Grace does not make consequences disappear, but it means your next faithful step is not cancelled by the existence of yesterday.
Read each passage in its paragraph or chapter. Notice who is speaking, what is happening, what the text reveals about God, and what response it asks from the reader.
Begin here and ask how the passage speaks to starting over without forcing it to promise something it does not promise.
Read in context. Write one truth to carry and one action to take.

A four-step rhythm
1. Name what is real.
Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.
2. Read for context.

3. Choose one truth to keep.

4. Turn it into action.
Choose the smallest repeatable behavior that belongs to the person you want to become and do it today.
