Use Scripture as more than a quote.

Healthy doubt becomes an invitation to investigate rather than an excuse to drift. Bring the real question into the light, read context, seek wise voices, and distinguish intellectual questions from wounds or disappointments that may sit underneath them.

Read each passage in its paragraph or chapter. Notice who is speaking, what is happening, what the text reveals about God, and what response it asks from the reader.

Mark 9:24

A four-step rhythm

1. Name what is real.

Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.

2. Read for context.

Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.

3. Choose one truth to keep.

Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.

4. Turn it into action.

Write the doubt as one precise question and spend time on that question instead of carrying a vague sense that everything is uncertain.
