How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
Comparison turns another person’s life into a scoreboard for your own. Scripture redirects attention toward gratitude, stewardship, humility, and faithfulness with what has actually been entrusted to you.
You do not need to pretend someone else’s success never affects you. You can notice envy without feeding it and return to the work, relationships, and responsibilities that belong to your life.
1. Get specific about what is happening.
Write the answer in plain language. Then decide what belongs to today and what can be released for now.
2. Separate responsibility from control.
Write the answer in plain language. Then decide what belongs to today and what can be released for now.
3. Read one passage deeply.
Start with Galatians 6:4–5 and read the surrounding context.
4. Choose the next faithful action.
Reduce one comparison trigger for a week and replace the reflex with gratitude plus one action toward your own responsibility.
5. Revisit instead of rehearsing.
Write the answer in plain language. Then decide what belongs to today and what can be released for now.
