AskJesus
Private by default. Grounded in God’s word.

Read. Reflect. Pray. Take the next faithful step.

Use Scripture as more than a quote.

A useful boundary is specific about what you will do, what you will not do, and what happens if the pattern continues. It is not a tool for controlling another person.

Read each passage in its paragraph or chapter. Notice who is speaking, what is happening, what the text reveals about God, and what response it asks from the reader.

Proverbs 4:23

Begin here and ask how the passage speaks to boundaries without forcing it to promise something it does not promise.

Galatians 6:5

2 Timothy 3:1–5

A four-step rhythm

1. Name what is real.

Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.

2. Read for context.

Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.

3. Choose one truth to keep.

Slow down enough to be specific. Faithful reflection works better when the real question is named clearly.

4. Turn it into action.

Turn one vague frustration into a clear sentence: “If this happens, I will…” and choose a consequence you can actually carry out.
